Birthright:
Travel to Israel this winter!
We’re excited to
announce a Boston-area young adult (22-26 year old) Taglit-Birthright trip! This February, join us on this 10-day,
absolutely free trip to Israel. Travel
is provided by Union for Reform Judaism Kesher, which is an official Birthright
provider.
Kesher is
Hebrew for “connection.” Joining a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip with URJ
Kesher is about connecting with Israel on a meaningful level -- the people, the
history and the land itself. The URJ Kesher program offers a unique opportunity
to experience Israel through a progressive lens. Learn about the challenges of
pluralism in Israel, connect with the leaders who embody the spirit of
contemporary Zionism, and give something back on a meaningful service project.
This trip will also
not end when you land back in the States. This experience is being supported by
several local reform congregations, and will be led by a local area rabbi. The
connections you make on Birthright are sure to remain a connection back home.
Email a
colleague of Rabbi Saphire, Rabbi Neil Hirsch at nhirsch@templeshalom.org to apply, to ask questions, and to
get on board today. More information can also be found at www.gokesher.org.
