Enrollment at Gan Elohim is open to children from 2 years old to 5 years old. We admit children of all faiths and ethnic groups. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, martial status, or national origin.
After thoughtful discussions with the Executive Director of Jewish Living, the Vice President of Congregational Learning and the Gan Elohim Teachers, we have decided to restructure the age requirements for class entry in order to provide your children with the most developmentally appropriate learning environments. In addition, we believe this change will provide your children with a smoother transition into their elementary education.
Consistent with other schools in our area, the new class ages for the 2013-2014 school year will be in accordance with the public school system. The toddler class will be for children who are 2 by August 31, 2013. Within the toddler program, there will be a 3 day program for older toddlers and a 2 day program for younger toddlers. Respectively, children who are 3 by August 31, 2013 will be in our 3 year old program and children who are 4 by August 31, 2013 will be in the Pre-K, 4 year old program.
We recognize this is a significant change in our enrollment policy. However, we believe that this change is necessary in order to continue to provide a high quality learning environment that nurtures your children’s growth and puts them on the best path for their ongoing learning and development.
Our application process begins in
the fall of the year prior to the entrance into the program. Priority of
applications will be considered as follows:
Registration Dates for the 2013-2014 School Year
||Currently enrolled Gan Elohim Families and Temple Beth Elohim members are given priority during this time period. Temple Beth Elohim membership must be in good standing for application priority. In the event that applications surpass available space, a lottery will be held on November 1, 2012 to determine admission.
||Community at large
